The capital Beirut was shaken Friday by air strikes on the southern suburbs controlled by Hezbollah, sending thick plumes of smoke rising.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry on Thursday evening killed 12 people and wounded 50 others in a series of Israeli raids targeting the south of the country. The ministry said in separate statements that 7 dead and 24 wounded were killed by Israeli raids on Nabatieh province and 5 killed and 26 wounded by raids on the southern governorate.
At least 40 people were killed in raids on several villages in Lebanon’s eastern Baalbek district.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement that the toll of the Israeli raids that targeted the Baalbek district is 40 dead and 52 wounded, noting that these victims fell in 10 different villages.
