Gaza: WHO stresses the need to stop attacks on Kamal Adwan hospital

Ongoing attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital – northern Gaza – have injured another 14 people in the past forty-eight hours, “including the hospital director and the few remaining doctors and nurses,” according to the WHO director-general.

UN official Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus denounced the continued attacks on the hospital, which has 65 injured adults, 13 sick children and 8 patients in the intensive care unit.

The WHO Director-General stressed the need to immediately stop the attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital and ensure the safe passage of a humanitarian mission to the hospital to deploy health workers and provide the hospital with medical supplies for the remaining patients. Dr. Tedros also stressed the need for a ceasefire now.
