In a shocking scene that reflects the brutality of the Israeli occupation army, a Palestinian youth in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip was seriously injured in the head as a result of being targeted by a smoke bomb thrown directly by the occupation soldiers, during their ongoing operations since the fifth of last October in the Jabalia and Beit Lahia camps in the northern Gaza Strip, which caused the death, starvation and displacement of thousands of Palestinians.
The people at the scene of the incident, with all their limited capabilities, tried to extinguish the bomb – which settled in the young man’s head – by placing dirt on his head, amid a state of panic and fear of the impact of toxic gases resulting from it, but the young man was martyred immediately, in an incident that embodies the deliberate use of internationally prohibited weapons by the occupation against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
A video documenting the residents’ attempts to save the young man whose head exploded was widely circulated on social media, sparking shock and great interaction between Palestinians and Arabs.
