Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

An American military official has admitted that an American destroyer has been targeted in three Yemeni attacks within two months.

The American website “Business Insider” quoted a US defense official on Tuesday as saying that the attacks are clear evidence of Sana’a’s forces’ determination to strike American warships, a matter that the US has expressed great concern about.

The American military official stated that the destroyer “USS Stockdale” has been exposed to three incidents so far within two months. It was subjected to a heavy barrage of missiles and drones at the end of last September. The second attack occurred in mid-November, and the third on Sunday of this week.

The website considered that “these repeated attacks reflect the Houthis’ desire to strike an American warship,” according to the report.

The same website recently quoted the US Special Envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, as saying, “The Houthi forces seem intent on striking US warships,” adding, “Our leadership is all concerned about the Houthis’ insistence on striking us in the Red Sea, their persistence in doing so, and their determination to do what they do better,” as he described it.
