The official spokesman for the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Basal, said on Wednesday that Israeli massacres are still being committed against innocent people, specifically in the northern Gaza Strip, in which more than 4,000 martyrs and missing people were killed and 12,000 injured since the ground invasion of the northern Gaza Strip.
He added: “We warn of the collapse of the civil defense system in the Gaza Strip due to the ferocity of destruction and killing, which the Palestinian people have never seen before.”
“We lost 89 of our crews, wounded more than 300 and arrested 22 since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip,” Basal said.
Basal stressed that the Israeli occupation forces completely destroyed 40 fire, rescue and ambulance vehicles out of 72 vehicles, and the rest are worn out and inoperable.
He said: “Our message to the free world, and people of conscience, is the need for solidarity in all squares and embassies in order to end the war on Gaza. After 431 days of war on the Gaza Strip, it is time for the world to act after killing more than 60,000 martyrs, including 6,000 women and 14,000 children, and thousands who may have lost their parents and are now without a father or mother.”
