Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Indications are increasing of overt American attempts to thwart progress in peace negotiations between Sana’a and Riyadh, in a move that serves the Israeli agenda by exploding the situation in Yemen again.

The US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, has once again used the “scarecrow” of arms smuggling into Sana’a to justify tightening the blockade on the port of Hudaydah, the sole artery that sustains millions of Yemeni citizens in the north. During a meeting with UN inspection mechanisms in Djibouti, Lenderking claimed that the “Houthis” use complex methods to transport weapons, in a blatant attempt to justify the UN mission’s call for enhanced ship inspections.

This move comes in conjunction with American attempts to impose a complete blockade on the port of Hudaydah as a means of pressure on Sana’a, which leads naval operations against Israeli occupation as part of a steadfast stance in support of the Palestinian cause.

Recent American moves, including statements from their representative in the Security Council calling for stricter ship inspections, confirm that Washington is not seeking peace as much as it is trying to hinder any political progress by escalating economic and humanitarian conditions, in light of the UN envoy, Hans Grundberg, presenting an economic roadmap that indicates signs of progress.

On the other hand, ambassadors of the Saudi-Emirati coalition government continue to implement the American agenda. In an intervention before the US Senate, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Hadhrami proposed escalatory steps against Sana’a, including:

Supporting armed factions affiliated with the coalition to carry out what he termed “liberating Hudaydah port.”

Designating the Ansar Allah movement as a foreign terrorist organization.

Targeting Sana’a’s leadership to dismantle its command structure.

These proposals clearly demonstrate American-Gulf coordination to reignite the war anew, in an attempt to return Yemen to the square of conflict, serving Israeli occupation projects in the region and ensuring continued control over international shipping lanes.

In contrast, the Yemeni people stand resilient against these conspiracies, steadfast in their resistance to all forms of aggression, affirming that sovereignty and national dignity will not be held hostage to Washington’s ambitions or its tools in the region.
