Palestinian citizen Khaled Nabhan, the owner of the famous saying “Spirit of the Soul”, was killed on Monday, following the Israeli occupation shelling of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Nabhan is best known for the “spirit of the soul” he addressed to his granddaughter Reem during her farewell after the Israeli army killed her in November 2023.
In November 2023, social media users circulated a video of Grandfather Nabhan holding his granddaughter’s body, cuddling her with affectionate words such as “the soul of the soul”, and embracing her in the last moments of farewell.
With US support, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, that has left more than 151,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly.
