The Yemeni forces announced on Sunday the foiling of a US-British attack on Yemen by targeting the aircraft carrier “USS Harry S. Truman” and a number of its accompanying destroyers, revealing at the same time the details of the downing of the American F-18 aircraft.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the Yemeni forces, explained that they targeted “the American-British aircraft carrier and destroyers concurrently with the start of the aggressive attack on our country yesterday evening,” noting that the operation, which was described as “qualitative” was carried out with 8 winged missiles and 17 drones.

He confirmed that the operation led to “the downing of an F18 aircraft while the destroyers were trying to confront the Yemeni drones and missiles,” noting that most of the hostile warplanes had left Yemeni airspace for international waters in the Red Sea to defend the aircraft carrier while it was being targeted.

The spokesman for the Yemeni forces mentioned that the “USS Harry S. Truman” aircraft carrier left its previous position towards the north of the Red Sea after being targeted, noting that the withdrawal of the aircraft carrier was after it was subjected to more than one attack by the missile force, the naval forces, and the drone air force.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree affirmed in his military statement that the Yemeni forces “succeeded in confronting and foiling the American-British aggression with the help of God,” reiterating “our readiness to confront any American-British-Israeli foolishness in the coming period.”

He warned “the Israeli and American enemy against aggression on Yemen,” saying, “We will use our full right to defend the country,” confirming “our continued support for the Palestinian people until the aggression on Gaza is stopped and the siege is lifted.”
