The US confirmed on Saturday, that the American aircraft carrier in the Red Sea was out of service, coming days after it was targeted by Yemeni forces.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The US Central Command released a video of the attack carried out at the end of last month.

The clip shows the moment of launching “Tomahawk” missiles on the Yemeni capital Sana’a and Hudaydah governorate.

The missiles were launched from destroyers belonging to the US aircraft carrier “USS Harry S. Truman,” stationed in the Red Sea.

The clip confirms the inability of the US forces in the “Truman” fleet to carry out airstrikes on Yemen as usual due to difficulties on board the American battleship.

The revelation of the launch of Tomahawk missiles came a day after criticism in the US over the failure to defend the “Truman” aircraft carrier.

American reports indicated that the “Truman” was attacked just six days after entering the Red Sea, which resulted in the downing of an F-18 aircraft specializing in its defense.

On December 31, the Yemeni capital was subjected to an attack that targeted objectives that the Saudi coalition had previously targeted with dozens of raids over the past years.

A Tomahawk missile launched from battleships costs around $2.1 million.

Its recent use does not reflect that the targets were important but rather reflects America’s inability to respond to Yemeni attacks and its attempt to prove a presence and nothing more.
