The tripartite war coalition on Yemen, on Tuesday, resumed its confusion over the priority of its agenda, coinciding with the Yemeni forces’ frustration over repeated attempts to attack it.

In the US, the intelligence circles have begun to explore what comes after aircraft carriers and airstrikes. This was highlighted in a Foreign Policy magazine article quoting the U.S. Deputy National Intelligence Director, who said that Washington must change its current strategy after the failure of the deterrence operation against what it described as the “Houthis.”

The American official put forward several proposals, the most prominent of which is carrying out assassinations through covert operations or supporting the government loyal to the coalition; however, she also expressed concerns that this move could drive what she described as the “Houthis” to seize the areas of the Aden government, particularly the oil and gas regions.

Previously, America had attempted to carry out assassinations of Yemeni leaders by summoning B-52 strategic bombers, but it failed.

The American intelligence’s talk of the failure of the current U.S. operations, which have been ongoing for more than a year, also coincides with American officers expressing real concerns about the possibility of the “Houthis” sinking the U.S. aircraft carrier with the equipment and soldiers on board, numbering around 5,000 troops.

These approaches reveal the extent of the American perception of the failure to confront Yemen and the attempt to search for less economically and human-costly ways, fearing that America may wake up to a new reality and a humiliating defeat in Yemen.

The American obsession with developments in Yemen’s operations in support of Gaza coincides with the occupation’s attempt to search for other options to escape the Yemen nightmare.

In his latest statement, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar renewed his attack on Iran and held it responsible for Yemen, accusing it of arming and sponsoring what he described as the “Houthis.”

These shifts in positions come as the world was awaiting a fifth phase of the attack, which the Yemeni forces have confirmed they have thwarted in the recent operations against the American battleships and the occupied cities in Palestine.
