UNRWA: Gaza hospitals ‘traps for death’

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) says Gaza’s hospitals under constant Israeli bombardment have become “death traps.”

This came in a post on the X platform, Wednesday, regarding the genocide committed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

UNRWA said “families are breaking up and children are dying from the cold” in Gaza due to Israeli attacks.

She noted that “hunger takes lives” in the Strip, where the food crisis has been exacerbated by restrictions imposed by Israel on the entry of humanitarian aid.

According to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, only 14 out of 36 hospitals in Gaza are partially served.

These hospitals are short of medicines and medical supplies due to the inability to deliver adequate aid.
