The Civil Defense in Gaza said on Saturday that the bodies of thousands of martyrs are still missing under the rubble of buildings destroyed by the Israeli occupation army in all areas of the Strip over more than 15 months of war.
The Civil Defense said in a statement that its teams, in cooperation with medical services and municipalities, “spare no effort in recovering what they can from the bodies of martyrs with the simple equipment and capabilities available to them” in Gaza.
He stressed that things are still “very difficult” as long as the necessary equipment and heavy machinery are not brought into the Gaza Strip.
The Civil Defense added in its statement that “based on citizens’ data, we recorded the names and locations of hundreds of missing martyrs under the rubble of buildings and houses targeted by the Israeli occupation during its aggression on the Gaza Strip.”
The death toll is expected to rise, as civil defence operations continue to search under rubble and rubble, where a large number of people are still missing.
