The government media office in Gaza said that the war of extermination launched by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip caused the death of more than 61,000 martyrs, in addition to the displacement of more than two million Palestinians, some of whom were forced to be displaced more than 25 times, in an unprecedented tragedy in history.
The office said during a press conference that the number of martyrs reached 61,709 martyrs, including 47,487 who arrived at hospitals, while 14,222 are still under the rubble of buildings or in the streets have not been reached until this moment.
The number of wounded reached 111,588 people, while the number of detainees rose to more than 6,000 and they are subjected to the worst forms of abuse and torture, and dozens of them were martyred in Israeli prisons.
The office explained that 8% of Gaza’s population was directly victims of the war of extermination, which is “unprecedented in history” as the most heinous wars and massacres committed throughout the ages have never witnessed such a crime, according to the spokesman.
The office pointed out that the occupation army committed 9,268 massacres during the aggression, which led to the complete extermination of two thousand and 92 families from the civil registry, while the occupation killed 4,889 families, of which only one member remained, in crimes described by the government office as systematic ethnic cleansing.
