Western Report: Sana’a has turned into an effective naval power

A report by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy revealed the superiority of the Sana’a forces in carrying out complex naval operations, as they have proven their ability to launch precise attacks against commercial and military ships in the Red Sea throughout the past period.

The report pointed to the use of the Sana’a forces of the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandeb as strategic chokepoints, which allowed them to exert strong influence in regional conflicts.

According to the institute, the Sana’a forces were able to confuse major powers such as the US and Britain thanks to their advanced arsenal of ballistic missiles and long-range drones.

The report shows that the Sana’a forces constitute an effective naval force capable of threatening commercial and military ships at long distances, reflecting their ability to impose new equations in the Red Sea and challenge the great powers that are still unable to fully confront this escalating threat.
