Marwan al-Hams, director of field hospitals at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, confirmed that “the number of deaths in the Gaza Strip due to lack of capabilities is equivalent to the number of those killed by the occupation.”
He added in media statements, on Thursday, that “a number of patients scheduled to be discharged died due to the intransigence of the occupation.”
“We urgently need field hospitals immediately, medical staff, medicines and medical equipment,” he said.
“We have information that field hospitals are ready to enter the Gaza Strip, and that the occupation is obstructing their entry,” he said.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed last Saturday that “the first batch (50 people) of patients and injured people left the Rafah crossing in the southern Gaza Strip, in implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.”
