A new American admission of defeat before the forces of Sana’a

Clifford May, the president of the American “Foundation for the Defense of Democracies”, known for its support for the Israeli enemy, stated that the continued success of the forces of Sana’a without defeat will lead to strengthening the image of American weakness, especially in light of Washington’s failure in the battle of the Red Sea.

In an article published in the American newspaper Washington Times, May addressed the maritime attacks carried out by the forces of Sana’a against ships related to Israel, the US, and Britain over the course of more than a year, noting that these operations came in support of Gaza and in response to the targeting of Yemen.

May explained that “the cost of diverting the course of ships to go around the southern coast of Africa reached more than $40 billion over the past year,” adding that “the American military response to the attacks of the forces of Sana’a was costly and strategically ineffective.”

He pointed out that the US spent nearly $1 billion to intercept and destroy the missiles launched by the forces of Sana’a, describing this approach as “similar to shooting at incoming arrows.”

May concluded his statements by emphasizing that “the failure to defeat the forces of Sana’a soon will not only enhance the image of American weakness but will also establish a dangerous precedent in the future.”
