The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 48,208, the majority of them children and women, since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
The ministry said in its statement that since the beginning of the aggression, the toll has risen to 111,655, noting that thousands of victims remain under the rubble. It also confirmed that 19 martyrs arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals during the past 24 hours, including 14 martyrs whose bodies were recovered, and two others who died of their injuries, in addition to three new martyrs and 15 injuries.
The ministry said many of the victims remained under rubble and on the roads, and that ambulance and civil defence crews could not reach them due to the extensive destruction caused by Israeli airstrikes.
