The “American Institute” revealed today, Sunday, that the US Navy warship “Harry S. Truman” has reached the Gulf of Souda in Greece to undergo maintenance after what was claimed to be a collision incident with a commercial tanker off Egypt.
Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni Translation:
The US Sixth Fleet announced that the “Advanced Regional Maintenance Center of the Navy is evaluating the necessary repairs on the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) after the collision,” explaining that the collision caused damage to “Truman’s rear right aircraft crane and a hole in the hull above the water line at the rear.”
It pointed out that the damage included “the outer wall of two storage rooms and a maintenance area, while the damage assessed outside the ship includes a line handling area, the rear wing, and the platform above one of the storage areas.”
Military analysts questioned the credibility of the US narrative about the aircraft carrier being exposed to a collision incident, suggesting that it may be the result of a previous missile strike by Yemeni forces, especially as it was subjected to 8 attacks during its short period of deployment in the Red Sea, before withdrawing after the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
It is worth noting that the US Central Command continued to deny that its naval vessels were subjected to naval attacks from Yemen and then gradually leaked confessions in later times, throughout the period of the US Navy’s deployment, in an attempt to confront the Yemeni attacks targeting the “Israeli” occupation and its navigation.
