The General Authority for Palestinian Prisoners said that the difficult conditions in which the prisoners are released show the magnitude of the crimes and violations inside the prisons, and the effects of torture and oppression are clear on their bodies.

Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The authority added that the occupation has not stopped its criminality against the prisoners even at the moment of their release, as it deliberately humiliated them and assaulted them with beatings and humiliation in a desperate attempt to kill the joy of freedom.

Palestinian media outlets reported that these assaults on prisoners coincide with the ongoing prisoner exchange agreement between the occupation and the resistance, under which hundreds of Palestinian prisoners are being released in the first phase.

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said that “the storming of the occupation’s suppression units into the cells of Palestinian prisoners in Ofer Prison west of Ramallah, and the savage assault on them, is a criminal, barbaric behavior that reflects the fascist and terrorist nature of this occupying entity.”

It added that “these assaults are a continuation of the series of the brutality and sadism practiced by the occupation against our brave prisoners in prisons, and a desperate attempt to regain its shattered prestige by the arms of our resistance and our heroic people.”

The movement called for exposing these inhumane crimes against the prisoners, which fall within the war of genocide against the Palestinians and violate all international covenants and customs.

It also confirmed the need to continue the supportive measures for the prisoners and to go out in popular activities in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem in solidarity with them and to support them, in parallel with the efforts of the resistance to accomplish exchange deals that break the chains of the jailer and shatter the oppression of the occupation and the injustice of its jailers.
