Sana’a’s Defense: Our islands are part of our geography, and we will not compromise in protecting our wealth and resources

The Minister of Defense in the Sana’a government, Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, warned the Saudi-Emirati coalition against the continued control of the Yemeni islands, stressing that “our Yemeni islands are an integral part of our geography and a line that can’t be crossed, and we will not allow any violation of our sovereignty over our islands, whatever the justifications.”

Sana’a – Al-Khabar A-Yemeni:

In a speech on the occasion of the graduation of a combat batch named “Martyr of Islam and Humanity,” Major General Al-Atifi said that “the foreign presence that is alien to the Yemeni geography is completely unacceptable, and we will not accept any form of presence that violates our sovereignty,” stressing that “the enemies must reconsider their calculations and deal with the determinants that we see as necessary to achieve justice and peace.”

He stressed that the Yemeni forces will not “tolerate compromising our capabilities, resources, and national wealth,” considering that “the sovereign national decision is a line that does not accept evasion or incomplete reading, and we will not allow any party to undermine it, diminish it, or interfere in our internal affairs.”

The Saudi-Emirati coalition continues to control several Yemeni islands, including the Socotra archipelago, and has sought in recent years to militarize it for the benefit of “Israel,” according to reports, where an American website specialized in maritime affairs recently reported that the UAE is operating the airport, which it described as “mysterious,” on the island of Abd Al-Kuri in the Socotra archipelago in Yemen, at full capacity.
