The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Sunday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to “48,458 martyrs” since October 7, 2023.
This came in the ministry’s daily statistical report on the number of dead and wounded as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The ministry explained that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip has reached “48,458 martyrs and 111,897 injuries since October 7, 2023.”
Five new martyrs and 37 injuries have also arrived at the hospitals of the Strip during the past 24 hours, according to the ministry.
The “Gaza Health” explained that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.
Despite the start of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel on January 19, Israel continues to violate the agreement by targeting civilians and preventing the entry of aid.
