Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Recent data from the German statistics company Statista showed a sharp decline in the volume of goods unloaded at the Israeli port of Eilat since the start of Yemen’s attacks in the Red Sea.
According to Statista data, the volume of goods unloaded at the port of Eilat dropped to zero metric tons during the period from the second quarter to the fourth quarter of last year.
The figures reveal a significant deterioration in the port’s activity. In the fourth quarter of 2023, no goods were unloaded at all, compared to more than 120 metric tons unloaded in the same quarter of 2022.
These data indicate a significant impact of the crisis in the Red Sea on the Israeli economy, specifically on the movement of trade through the port of Eilat, which is a vital outlet for the Israeli occupation on the Red Sea.
