The Israeli occupation army’s aggression entered its 53rd day on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp in the northern West Bank, where it has so far resulted in the death of 36 Palestinians, the injury of dozens, and the displacement of thousands of Palestinians, amid unprecedented destruction that included the demolition and burning of homes.
The “Media Committee of Jenin Camp” said today, in a press release, that the number of displaced people in Jenin camp has risen to more than 21,000 Palestinians, representing about 90% of its population, after they were subjected to forced displacement as a result of the continuous military operations by the occupation forces.
The “Media Committee” added that the enemy forces continue to burn and destroy inside the camp, as they burned a number of houses yesterday, and are still stationed in the main square of the camp and a number of city streets, and close the entrance to Jenin Governmental Hospital using earth mounds, which hinders the arrival of patients and the injured.
“The Israeli aggression on Jenin and its refugee camp resulted in the martyrdom of 36 Palestinians, including two who were shot dead by the Palestinian Authority security services, which participate in the crimes of the occupation and pursue and arrest resistance fighters,” it said.
