Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The recent American attacks on Yemen have caused a new crisis for international maritime shipping.
According to sources in the maritime shipping sector, Reuters reported that shipping costs through the Red Sea have risen after the US carried out attacks on Yemen.
It explained that “fears of new attacks from Yemen have increased after the US carried out air strikes on Yemen.”
It indicated that the insurance rate for ships linked to the US and Britain has risen to 2% of the ship’s value, affirming that “war risk insurance fell to 0.5% after the ceasefire announcement in Gaza and then rose again after the American escalation.”
The US forces are launching attacks on Yemen in response to Sana’a’s resumption of the naval blockade on Israeli navigation in order to pressure the occupation to lift the blockade on Gaza.
