The US continued, on Sunday, its military aggression on Yemen for the second consecutive week, but in parallel with the attempt to protect the occupation and American warships in the Red Sea by targeting coastal cities, the American planes are heavily bombarding areas in the Yemeni depth. What are the dimensions of this step and its objectives?

Although the American aggression in its early days did not exclude any governorate in northern Yemen, except for the areas under the control of the pro-coalition factions, it is now trying to concentrate its aggression on certain governorates, the most prominent of which are the coastal governorates of Hudaydah and Hajjah, as well as Al-Jawf and Marib in the depth, in addition to the border areas of Sa’ada and Hajjah.
For the US, it is trying to portray its aggression on these governorates as an achievement with a military dimension, but the data indicates that America is trying to create a ring of fire around areas it fears being targeted by Yemen in retaliation for the American aggression and the arrangements taking place there or the involvement of these parties in the aggression.
As for the coastal areas on the Red Sea, specifically Hudaydah and Hajjah, the goal is to put pressure to prevent further daily attacks on American battleships and the Israeli occupation, as they are the closest point to the occupation and the American battleships stationed at the farthest end of the sea.
As for the occupation’s focus of its aggression on the governorates of Al-Jawf and Marib, it is an attempt to prevent any Yemeni arrangements to regain Marib, the most prominent oil-producing regions in eastern Yemen, which America fears will fall, as it is one of the sources of funding for its movements in Yemen.
Add to this the intensification of raids on Sa’ada, Al-Jawf, and Hajjah, for reasons related to concerns about the possibility of Yemen launching new air attacks against Saudi Arabia or, rather, American interests in the Gulf in general, especially in light of the monitoring of movements there, whether in terms of logistical support or direct participation.
America may, through the statements of its responsible leaders, depict what is happening in these areas as having a strategic dimension, but the reality indicates that all the raids aim to maintain a continuous ring of fire in these governorates to prevent any mobilization or the implementation of new missile and air attacks against those involved in the recent escalation, whether from the inside or outside.
