The massacres committed by the occupation army have taken on a more brutal and indiscriminate character, particularly in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City. In the early morning hours, an Israeli military bulldozer entered the al-Qubbah area, located near the eastern border, and planted a booby-trapped robot containing approximately 4,000 kilograms of highly destructive explosives. The robot was located in the middle of a densely populated area housing dozens of homes inhabited by hundreds of Palestinians. The bulldozer then withdrew and detonated the homes over the heads of their occupants. The explosion destroyed five homes belonging to the Jundiyya and Abu Hin families, killing dozens of their residents.
Abu Muhammad Jundiyya, a survivor of the massacre, told : “We pulled out about twenty martyrs, and dozens of our children remain under the rubble. We hear their voices calling for help. When we tried to rescue them, the Israeli artillery began heavy shelling, forcing us to flee. He added, “We contacted the Civil Defense, which arrived at the scene, but the occupation resumed shelling. We are burying our martyrs while listening to our injured sons under the rubble. Every moment that passes means one of them is martyred.”
Following this horrific massacre, thousands of residents began a massive wave of displacement, as Israeli drones (quadcopters) pursued them with bombs and bullets. Regarding the destination of the displacement from the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, one of the displaced told : “We don’t know where to go. We left with only the clothes we were wearing, and we weren’t even able to carry food or basic necessities. We have nowhere to go; the shelters are full, and a tent has become a distant dream in such circumstances.”
