The Israeli occupation forces committed on Wednesday, a new horrific massacre in Al–Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, killing more than 30 martyrs, including women and eight children.
This comes as Israeli shelling that killed more than 45 Palestinians continued until hours of Wednesday evening, medical sources confirmed to Al–Jazeera. The Israeli occupation forces shelled a 4–storey house belonging to the Abu Amsha family on Baghdad Street in Al–Shujaiya neighborhood, destroying the house and damaging ten neighboring houses, all of which are inhabited, killing at least 30 civilians, including 8 children, and injuring about 50 others. The majority of victims were displaced from the outskirts of the neighbourhood to the centre of the neighbourhood and were unable to move elsewhere because there was nowhere else.
Mohammed Hajjaj, a resident of Shujaiya, while helping to transport the wounded to the city‘s Al–Ahli Arab Hospital, told the Palestinian news agency Wafa that due to repeated displacement experiences that proved that death and murder are everywhere, whether displaced or otherwise, they chose to stay in the neighborhood.
