Israel detains Palestinian medic who survived the bloody March 23 attack in Rafah

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported on Sunday that it had received notification from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) that Israeli authorities had arrested one of its paramedics after he and his colleagues were targeted in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, in late March, in an attack that killed 15 paramedics.

The society explained in an official statement that paramedic Asaad al-Nasasra is now in the custody of Israeli authorities, after his fate remained unknown since he and his colleagues were targeted in the city of Rafah.

15 paramedics and rescuers were killed by Israeli occupation forces in the attack on March 23. They were shot in the upper body with the intent to kill.
