The island of Kamaran in the Hudaydah governorate witnessed a dangerous escalation in American airstrikes today, Tuesday, as the US aircraft carried out more than 15 air raids on the island, according to a local source who confirmed that these airstrikes come as the culmination of a series of attacks that have targeted the island in recent days.

Observers warn that this American military escalation on Kamaran Island aims to “destroy the island’s defensive infrastructure and pave the way for future control over it, in addition to paralyzing the movement of the strategic Ras Isa port.”
The strategic danger lies in the fact that any American control over the island will mean preventing ships from docking at the port and paralyzing the commercial and economic movement of the region.
This escalation is considered part of a comprehensive economic war that aims to “choke off economic resources and increase pressure on Yemen to reach the goal for which Washington launched its aggression on Yemen, which is to stop the Yemeni operations supporting Gaza, whether the maritime operations or those that target the depth of occupied Palestine from time to time.”
