The Gaza Strip, which has been under a massive Israeli offensive for more than 18 months, has become a mass grave for Palestinians and those who assist them, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said in a report released Wednesday.
“As Israeli forces resume and expand their military assault by air, land, and sea on the Gaza Strip, Palestine, forcibly displacing the population and deliberately blocking access to essential aid, Palestinian lives are once again being systematically destroyed,” the organization continued.
MSF added that a series of deadly attacks by Israeli forces demonstrated “a blatant disregard for the safety of humanitarian and medical workers in Gaza.”
The organization called on the Israeli authorities to “immediately lift the inhumane and deadly blockade of Gaza and protect the lives of Palestinians and humanitarian and medical workers.” It also called on “all parties to restore and maintain the ceasefire.”
