American acknowledgment of Sana’a downing a new drone

America has acknowledged that the Sana’a forces downed a new reconnaissance drone belonging to it in Yemen.

The American Associated Press agency quoted an American official confirming the downing of an American “MQ-9” drone in Yemen.

The spokesman for the Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, had announced the downing of an “MQ-9” drone while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Sana’a governorate with a locally manufactured surface-to-air missile.

This drone is the fifth in three weeks and the twentieth since the Sana’a forces began implementing operations in support of Gaza in late 2023.
