The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Thursday that its flour supplies in the Gaza Strip had run out, with only 250 food parcels left in its warehouses two days ago.
In its latest update on the situation in the Gaza Strip, published on its website, UNRWA warned that the blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation on Gaza for more than 50 days is rapidly depleting essential humanitarian supplies, including food, fuel, medical aid, and children’s vaccines.
It noted that since the collapse of the ceasefire, the occupation forces have escalated their aerial, land, and sea bombardment of the Gaza Strip and expanded their ground operations, killing hundreds of people, destroying civilian infrastructure, and causing widespread displacement.
