UNRWA: The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is beyond imagination

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that “the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is beyond imagination, amid the ongoing bombing, blockade, and famine.”

UNRWA added in press statements on Sunday that “tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded in Gaza, and displaced families are facing the collapse of infrastructure and the flow of sewage.”

UNRWA called for “the urgent lifting of the blockade on Gaza to ensure the delivery of vital humanitarian and commercial supplies.”

The Arab Parliament, in turn, sent urgent letters to the UN Secretary-General, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), demanding “immediate and effective action to save the children of the Gaza Strip from starvation, in light of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression.”
