UNICEF: 45 children killed by Israeli forces in Gaza in two days

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) stated on Friday that Israeli occupation forces have killed 45 children in the Gaza Strip over the past two days.

In a press release, UNICEF described the deaths as “another devastating reminder that children in Gaza are suffering first and foremost — forced to endure hunger day after day, only to fall victim to indiscriminate attacks.”

The organization called for an immediate end to the daily suffering and killing of children in Gaza.

Separately, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that Israeli attacks on Gaza continue to impact healthcare facilities, including the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Yunis, which is now out of service.

WHO noted that the closure of the hospital has cut off access to critical services, including neurosurgery, cardiac care, and cancer treatment, all of which are unavailable elsewhere in the Gaza Strip.

The organization added that the hospital had served as a key medical evacuation center, and its shutdown places additional strain on an already overwhelmed healthcare system.
