On Sunday, Britain revealed concerns about the possibility of Yemen sinking the aircraft carrier “Prince of Wales” or downing the F-35.
This comes in the wake of the withdrawal of the American aircraft carrier “Truman” due to the reality of deadly attacks.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
British media reported that the Navy has put in place several contingency plans in anticipation of targeting the “Wales,” which carries about 18 F-35 fighters, during its passage through the Bab Al-Mandeb on its way to the Pacific.
The “Mail Online” website quoted government sources as saying that among the plans is an evacuation operation for sailors and pilots in the event that the F-35 fighters on board the “Wales” are shot down.
The sources confirmed that the British government granted permission for the Navy’s special forces and marines to carry out rescue operations.
Although the British aircraft carrier did not come to participate in the aggression against Yemen, according to the sources, the British concerns stem from the possibility of Yemen carrying out retaliatory attacks in response to Britain’s participation in the recent American aggression.
What heightens the British concerns even more is the decision of America to withdraw the American aircraft carrier “USS Harry S. Truman” after about two months of its redeployment in the Red Sea.
The American fleet was subjected to more than 34 attacks, the last two of which were the most dangerous, as America acknowledged the downing of two F-18 fighters in less than a week.
Reports of targeting American F-35 stealth fighters increased panic among the British, whose fighters of this type are characterized by less efficient technologies than their American counterparts.
It is worth noting that Britain had lost several commercial ships during the past year as a result of its participation in the American aggression in its first phase, and several battleships were also targeted, forcing the Royal Navy to withdraw them as well.
