Gaza Health: Blood banks operate with only 40% of the available equipment

The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that hospital laboratories urgently need to reinforce their equipment to meet the testing needs of patients and the wounded.

It added that laboratories and blood banks in the remaining hospitals are operating at 40% capacity, under pressure from laboratory testing.

The ministry added in a statement that the equipment is operating without any regular maintenance systems and lacks spare parts.

Sixty percent of the equipment has been destroyed, as the occupation forces have caused malfunctions. Hospital laboratories are also in urgent need of additional equipment to meet the departments’ needs for testing patients and the wounded.
