For the third day, Israel imposes tight restrictions on Palestinians in the West Bank

For the third consecutive day, Israel continued to impose strict restrictions on Palestinian movement in the West Bank, closing entrances to cities and villages with military checkpoints and iron gates, as part of what it described as “precautionary security measures.”

Several areas in the northern, central, and southern West Bank witnessed complete or partial road closures, including the city of Nablus, where entry and exit were prohibited except for limited secondary roads, according to local sources.
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorates, entrances to several villages and towns were closed.
Sources reported that Israeli forces used sound bombs and tear gas to disperse Palestinian vehicles at the Deir Sharaf checkpoint, west of Nablus. Strict measures continued around the cities of Qalqilya and Hebron, closing several main entrances and roads leading to neighboring villages and towns.

Last Friday, the Israeli army imposed a comprehensive closure on the West Bank and East Jerusalem, coinciding with escalating security tensions in the Palestinian territories.
