The head of a United Nations commission of inquiry described on Wedensday the US support for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which distributes aid in Gaza with Israel’s approval, as “scandal”, to join a wave of criticism directed at the organization’s methods of work.
“As we see daily, it turns out that people who attend these centers are killed while searching for food,” said Navi Pillay, head of the International Commission of Inquiry.
“We must study the political objective” of this institution and how it is implemented, describing US support as “blatant,” she added. A series of bloody events have occurred since May 27, the date of the opening of the relief centers run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a mysterious funded organization supported by the United States and Israel.
