Gaza’s new aid distribution system has become a killing field

UNRWA said the new aid distribution system in Gaza has become a killing field.

More than 400 starving people have been reported killed since it was introduced just one month ago. They were shot while trying to get food for themselves and their families.

Testimonies of soldiers shooting indiscriminately continue to emerge. Amid the chaos, children have been separated from their families, left in a state of loss and trauma. This system is far from adhering to the principle of humanity.

It was not designed to address hunger and is often justified by the misuse of aid—a pretext that has yet to be verified, let alone proven. Instead of “orderly food distribution,” this system brings dehumanization, chaos, and death. This cannot become the new normal.
