OCHA: The humanitarian situation in Gaza is constantly deteriorating

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned of a rapid deterioration in the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

It pointed out that field reports indicate that tents, schools, homes, and medical facilities have been bombed, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries on a daily basis.

The UN office said that hospitals are running low on supplies, ambulances are out of service, and water networks are on the verge of collapse.

It warned that the fuel crisis has reached a critical point, and that the little fuel remaining is already being used to run the most important operations, but it is running out quickly, with almost no additional stock available.

The UN office also warned of a likely sharp rise in deaths soon unless the occupation authorities allow the entry of new fuel, which has not arrived in the past few months.
