UNICEF: 500 children suffered from malnutrition in Gaza in June

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced on Sunday that more than 5,800 Palestinian children were diagnosed with malnutrition in the Gaza Strip in June.

A famine is raging in Gaza, claiming the lives of many, including dozens of children, as a result of an Israeli war of extermination that includes a blockade and systematic starvation.

UNICEF explained via its X platform that the previous figures include “more than 1,000 children suffering from severe acute malnutrition,” adding that this number represents “an increase for the fourth consecutive month.”

The UN organization stressed the need for “rapid and widespread delivery of aid” to Palestinians in Gaza.
