Famine is ravaging Gaza’s children, and hospitals are overflowing with malnutrition cases

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip is recording high numbers of deaths and injuries due to severe malnutrition. The pediatric wards at Nasser Medical Complex in the southern city of Khan Yunis are filled with dozens of cases of starvation and malnutrition.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said that hospitals in the Strip recorded seven deaths in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition. The ministry said this brings the number of famine victims to 154, including 89 children.

Gaza’s hospitals lack medical food and essential nutritional supplements, and even baby formula is in short supply. The widespread famine is claiming the lives of more Palestinians, especially children.
