Gaza Health: 6 deaths from malnutrition within 24 hours

Hospitals in the Gaza Strip recorded six deaths due to malnutrition within 24 hours, all of them adults, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

The ministry said in a brief statement that the total number of deaths due to malnutrition has reached 175, including 93 children.

It is worth noting that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen, due to the blockade and shortages of food and medical supplies.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warned that malnutrition among children under the age of five doubled between March and June as a result of the ongoing blockade.

The World Health Organization confirmed that malnutrition rates in Gaza have reached alarming levels, with nearly one in five children under the age of five in Gaza City suffering from acute malnutrition.
