Gaza: Civil Defense announces that 60 percent of its vehicles are out of service

The Civil Defense in Gaza announced that 60 percent of its vehicles have stopped operating across the Gaza Strip due to a shortage of fuel and spare parts caused by the Israeli blockade, and warned of a humanitarian catastrophe.

In a press statement, the Civil Defense said: “We announce that 60 percent of Civil Defense vehicles have stopped operating in all governorates of the Gaza Strip due to a lack of sufficient fuel and spare parts needed for repairs.”

He pointed out that they were able to “provide a small amount of fuel from some humanitarian and relief organizations, amounting to no more than 15 percent of the daily professional need.”
