Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Kravik said Monday that his country believes Israel is targeting schools and journalists in the Gaza Strip, describing it as “unacceptable.”
Kravik added that Norway has imposed sanctions on Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich for their support of these policies.
He explained that the Norwegian sovereign fund announced today that it is divesting from 11 Israeli companies, noting that Europe and countries allied with Israel now see the need to hold Israel accountable.
The Norwegian official confirmed that his country will implement the international arrest warrant issued against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he enters Norwegian territory.
He emphasized that what Israel is doing against the residents of the Gaza Strip constitutes ethnic cleansing.
