Nearly 200,000 displaced… UNRWA: No safe place in Gaza

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed that Israeli military operations in Gaza City are forcibly displacing civilians, noting that residents have nowhere to go.

The UN agency stressed in a post on the X platform that “there is no safe place in Gaza, and no one is safe,” in light of the ongoing Israeli bombardment and the widening scope of destruction and displacement.

UNRWA called for an immediate ceasefire, stressing that “the humanitarian situation in the Strip has reached an unprecedented and catastrophic stage.”

In this context, Israeli sources reported that approximately 200,000 citizens have been displaced from Gaza City since the start of the military operation, in light of the ongoing bombardment and targeting of civilian neighborhoods.
