In the latest developments, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that Israeli aircraft carried out a very intense shelling this evening around Al-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza City.
The heavy shelling around the hospital comes amid fears that the Israeli forces advancing into the area may storm it.
Israeli aircraft also launched heavy raids on the city’s western neighborhoods, including the Al-Nasr and Al-Rimal neighborhoods, and the Al-Shati refugee camp.
