OCHA: Thousands in Gaza are deprived of health services and water

Jens Laerke, spokesperson for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said the military operation in Gaza City is very worrying.

Laerke told Al Jazeera on Tuesday that a large number of those displaced from Gaza City are in a dire situation, as are those who remain.

He stressed that thousands of people lack access to health services and water, adding that it is difficult to give precise figures on the number of displaced people, but that there are still hundreds of thousands in Gaza City.
