The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that Gaza is home to one million children, yet there is no safe place, stressing the necessity for a ceasefire now “for the sake of the children.”

The organization said this Monday, in a post on the platform “X,” “The occupation has killed Gaza’s children while they were sleeping, sheltering in schools, or standing in queues to obtain water or medical aid.”
It confirmed that since the beginning of the war, UNRWA has provided psychosocial support to over half a million children. These children have suffered psychological trauma and witnessed what no child should ever witness.
