The Director General of Hospitals at the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Mohammed Zaqout, confirmed that the remains of 45 Palestinian martyrs were received today, Tuesday, from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in coordination with the Ministry of Health, “in conditions that respect the sanctity of the martyrs and their bodies.”
Zaqout added that a committee is currently identifying the bodies, “some of which are clearly visible, while others are difficult to identify,” he said.
Zaqout explained that the Ministry of Health has not yet received a list of the martyrs’ names from the ICRC, but will publish it as soon as it receives it so that families can identify the bodies of their relatives and bury them.
Zaqout indicated that there are promises to receive more bodies of Palestinian martyrs in the coming days through the ICRC.
